Craig Harrell, DVM
George county native Dr. Craig Harrell is a 1998 Graduate of George County High School. He attended Mississippi State University for his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering. After working in the engineering field in Jackson, Mississippi, he returned to Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. There he met his wife, Katy, who is also a veterinarian. Upon graduation, he went to work in Mobile, Al, and in March of 2010, he and his wife opened Singing River Animal Clinic. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors including hunting, hiking, fishing, and spending time with his family, and working with on his own cow herd. Drs. Craig and Katy have 4 children, and numerous animals consisting of dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and mules.
Katy Harrell, DVM
Hattiesburg native Dr. Katy Harrell graduated from Hattiesburg High School in Hattiesburg, MS. She attended Sewanee: The University of the South in Sewanee, TN where she received a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then worked in Lexington, KY at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital where she served as a surgery technician. She then attended Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After graduation, she was a relief veterinarian in the Mobile area. She, along with Dr. Craig Harrell, opened Singing River Animal Clinic. Drs. Craig and Katy Harrell have 4 children, Ethan, Caroline, Benjamin, and Isabelle. They also have a small farm consisting of cows, mules, chickens, goats, dogs, and cats.
Dr. Matthew Harrison, DVM
Dr. Matt is a Lucedale native, and graduated from George County High School. He then attended Mississippi State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Animal and Dairy Science. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been with Singing River Animal Clinic since October of 2013. He is married to Rayne and they have two sons, Judson and Wade, and 1 daughter, Henley. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
Dr. Chelsea Freeman
Dr. Chelsea Freeman is from Nesbit, Mississippi, where she graduated high school from Southern Baptist Educational Center. She received her bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University in Animal and Dairy Science. She then continued her education at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2018. Dr. Chelsea is engaged to Ethan Hodges of Leakesville, MS, and they will be married in November 2018. In her spare time, Dr. Chelsea enjoys cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Gina Spears, Receptionist
Gina has been an employee at Singing River Animal Clinic since October 2013. She is a George County High School graduate, and currently resides in Lucedale with her husband, one son, and two daughters. They have three dogs, five cats, and a macaw.

Lindsey Freeman, Receptionist
Lindsey has been with SRAC since July 2017. She resides in Neely, MS with her husband, Donovan, and Miniature Schnauzers Gadget and Elena. She attended Jones Junior College where she received an Associate of the Arts degree. She is an active member in her church and enjoys shopping and video games in her free time.
Michelle Crenshaw, Technician
Michelle has been working at Singing River Animal Clinic since September 2010. Previously, she worked for over 2 years in Hawaii, where she also attended Windward Community College for a Certificate in Veterinary Assisting. She is currently attending the Veterinary Technology Distant Learning Program at San Juan College. She is the mom of 3 kids, 1 dog, Manini, and a cat named Fufu’e (which is Hawaiian for fluffy).
Brianna Hodges, Technician
Brianna has been working at Singing River Animal Clinic since March 2012. She was born and raised in Lucedale and graduated from Belford High School in 2010. She is a certified Veterinary Assistant, and is currently attending the Veterinary Technology Distant Learning Program at San Juan College. She is the owner of three dogs: Kamali, Tamaska, and Charlie, and 2 cats: Dash, and Muza.
Morgan Legget, Technician
Morgan has been a SRAC employee since July 2012. She resides in Lucedale, MS with her husband Kody and dogs; Tyson the Boxer, and Gator the Mix, as well as their various livestock. She has completed part of the coursework to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology. She is also a volunteer firefighter and certified first responder in her time away from the clinic. She was home schooled and is originally from Florence, MS., but has lived in Lucedale since 2010.
Racheal Roberts, Technician
Racheal was born in Louisiana, but moved to Mississippi during her 4th grade year. She graduated from East Central High School in 2011. Her first job started right here at Singing River Animal Clinic. She plans to attend college to further her education and become a veterinary technician. She has two cats, Princess, and a Persian named Tabby.
Lauren Hosey, Technician
Lauren has been a SRAC employee since August 2016. She lives in Lucedale, MS with her dogs Walt, the Dalmatian, and Gremlin, the Shih Tzu. She hopes to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology in the near future. She enjoys reading and the outdoors in her free time, as well as spending time with her family.
Carey McLain, Kennel Technician
Carey was homeschooled and is now dual enrolled at MGCCC. He will graduate high school this coming spring. He is considering majoring in nursing. He has two peekapoo dogs and lots of chickens. Carey is a member of Covenant Baptist Church. He previously did yard work and various farming jobs
Magen Bosarge, Kennel Technician
Magen has been at SRAC since August 2017. She resides in Hurley, MS with her family and her beloved pets; her dogs are Thriller (the Doberman) and Edgar (the Mix) as well as 2 cats, Hannibal and Clarice. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster where she is pursuing her degree in Veterinary Technology.
Rebekah-Lee Dunnam, Kennel Technician
Rebekah-Lee has been working for SRAC since March 2017. Being raised and homeschooled as a military brat, her animals were one of the constants, forming her love for animals. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at Penn Foster and beginning classes at MGCCC. She resides in Lucedale with her many fur babies-Dogs: William the Great Pyrenees mix, Elizabeth the Great Pyrenees mix, Jack the Labrador, Sandy the Beagle, and Chewie the Chihuahua. As well as 4 mini horses, 9 chickens and a one-eyed cat named Sybil.
