Craig Harrell, DVM
George county native Dr. Craig is a 1998 Graduate of George County High School. He attended Mississippi State University for his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering. After working in the engineering field in Jackson, Mississippi, he returned to Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. There he met his wife, Katy, who is also a veterinarian. Upon graduation, he went to work in Mobile, AL, and in March of 2010, he and his wife opened Singing River Animal Clinic. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors including hunting, hiking, fishing, and spending time with his family, and working with on his own cow herd. Drs. Craig and Katy have 5 children, and numerous animals consisting of dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and mules.
Katy Harrell, DVM
Hattiesburg native Dr. Katy graduated from Hattiesburg High School in Hattiesburg, MS. She attended Sewanee: The University of the South in Sewanee, TN where she received a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then worked in Lexington, KY at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital where she served as a surgery technician. She then attended Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After graduation, she was a relief veterinarian in the Mobile area. She, along with Dr. Craig, opened Singing River Animal Clinic. Drs. Craig and Katy have 5 children, Ethan, Caroline, Benjamin, Isabelle and Julia. They also have a small farm consisting of cows, mules, chickens, goats, dogs, and cats.
Matthew Harrison, DVM
Dr. Matt is a Lucedale native, and graduated from George County High School. He then attended Mississippi State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Animal and Dairy Science. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been with Singing River Animal Clinic since October of 2013. He is married to Rayne and they have two sons, Judson and Wade, and 1 daughter, Henley. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
Chelsea Hodges, DVM
Dr. Chelsea is from Nesbit, Mississippi, where she graduated high school from Southern Baptist Educational Center. She received her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in Animal and Dairy Science. She then continued her education at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2018.
In her spare time, Dr. Chelsea enjoys spending time with her husband Ethan and daughters Emory and Lyndi.
Teresa McMackin, DVM
Dr. Teresa is from Ocean Springs, MS, and a graduate of St. Patrick Catholic High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Notre Dame University, and a master’s degree in Medical Sciences from Mississippi College. She went on to study at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at LSU, graduating with her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2021. Dr. Teresa has a blind puppy named Lucy.
Charlsie Hicks, DVM
Dr. Charlsie Hicks is a native of Leakesville, Mississippi. She graduated from Green County High School in 2017. For her undergraduate career, Charlsie attended Mississippi State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry in 2020. She continued her education at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she obtained her DVM degree in 2024. Charlsie is passionate about small and large animal medicine, reproduction, surgery and herd work. In her spare time, Charlsie enjoys spending time with her family, and going on walks with her dog Archer. Charlsie is excited to become a member of the SRAC team and looks forward to meeting all of our great clients.
Veronica Mackin List, DVM
Dr. Veronica Mackin List was born and raised on the Gulf Coast of Florida. She attended Temple University in Philadelphia Pennsylvania where she majored in Biology. She has a Masters in Forensic Science from the University of Florida. She and her husband moved to the beautiful state of Mississippi in 2019 and fell in love with the wonderful friendly people, they currently reside in State Line, MS. Dr. List attended Mississippi State University where she earned her DVM after a nearly 30-year career in veterinary medicine as a technician. She is very excited to have the opportunity to join the SRAC team where she can not wait to get to know them, their clientele and the beautiful community of Lucedale.
Amy
CSR
Amy was orginally from Florida but is 1000% a Louisiana girl. She is a retired school teacher who started with SRAC in 2020 after wanting to try something new. She is married with 2 grown children and 4 grands and 1 dog who is a rotten rotten rotten baby. She enjoys home cooking and snacks…. A lot of snacks. She thinks the doctors and staff at SRAC are top notch. The one thing she wants clients to know? GEAUX TIGERS!!!
Lisa
CSR
Lisa is a George county native and has been with SRAC since 2020. She is our decorating guru, our plant lady and she knows everyone and their brother/mother/cousin. Some of her favorites are bang bang chicken or shrimp and all kinds of music. She loves gardening, traveling and her grands. She is passionate about informing clients about prevention (vaccines etc). She believes SRAC truly cares about you and your pets.
Darington
Customer Service Representative
Darington is originally from Kentucky but moved to nearby Alabama and came to us in December 2023 having already worked in the animal health field since 2022. She enjoys going to the river with family, country music and anything with shrimp. She wishes more clients knew about heartworms (MS is the #1 state for heartworms) and heartworm prevention. She is married with 1 child. The thing she loves most about SRAC is that we’re “the best group of people”
Michelle
Jack of all trade (Can do everything)
Michelle is originally from South Carolina but grew up in Georgia. She became a Mississippian and started working at SRAC in 2010. She enjoys all kinds of food, video games, reading and is crafty. She’s married with 5 grown kids and 5 grands, 1 dog and 2 cats. She’s our most senior employee and has seen SRAC grow from almost the very beginning and believes we really are a family.
Brianna
Cross Trained CSR/Vet Nurse
Brianna is originally from Alabama and has worked at SRAC since 2011. She has always had a passion for helping animals. She enjoys reading, exercise and spending time with her 2 daughters. She loves Asian food and rock music. She has a mini–Australian Shepherd named Sage and 3 cats. She’s passionate about preventative care and educating owners about healthy weight in their pets. She thinks SRAC is great because we truly care about every pet and treat them like family.
Morgan
Cross Trained CSR/Vet Nurse
Morgan is from Mississippi and is in Penn Foster to get her Veterinary Technician Degree. She started at SRAC in 2012 as a young volunteer to see if she enjoyed the field and she’s been here ever since. She loves vet med because she gets to love on and care for not only the pets but also their people. She enjoys farming, riding horses and being near the water. She is married to Kody and has 2 rambunctious boys and a whole barnyard full of animals. She loves that SRAC clients become a part of our family. She wants pet owners to know how important preventative care is, especially for parasites.
Racheal
Veterinary Nurse
Racheal was born in Louisiana but has been a Mississippi resident since she was 9. She became a veterinary nurse at SCAC in 2012 because she has an interest in medicine and mystery. She enjoys working out, reading books and manga and video games. She is married with 3 cats. Her favorite things sashimi and listening to mystery you tubes while in surgery. She has a passion for educating clients on dental care for their pets. She loves SRAC because we have a devoted staff that aims to give patients the best care.
Lauren
Cross trained CSR/Vet Nurse
Lauren was born in Mississippi and has worked at SRAC since August 2016. What she loves about her job is caring for our patients, seeing something new every day. Her hobbies include reading, puzzles and movie/dinner dates with her husband. She enjoys all types of music, pizza and all things Disney (movies, trivia, merchandise). Her favorite thing about SRAC is how we care for our patients like they are our own.
Mikayla
Vet Nurse
Mikayla was born in Mississippi and has worked at SRAC since August of 2020. She has known since she was 5 that she wanted to work with animals. She is an avid reader, sometimes reading multiple books a day. She enjoys country music, Mexican food and spending time with friends and family (her favorites are her nieces and nephew). Her favorite thing about SRAC is that we are like a family.
Ashley
Ashley has been with SRAC since July 2022. She resides in Lucedale with her family. She has a small farm which includes horses, goats, ducks/chickens and a Jersey Steer who is a gentle giant. She also has 4 rescue dogs named Toby, Harley, Chase and Cheese. In her spare time, she and her family love to be out on the water or trail riding.
Magen
Cross Trained CSR/Vet Nurse
Magen was born and raised in Mississippi. She has her Associate of Veterinary Technology from Penn Foster. She has been with SRAC since 2015. She loves surgery, country music and pizza. Her hobbies include taxidermy, reading and aquariums. She has a zoo of dogs, cats, birds, fish and wildlife. She loves SRAC because we treat your pets as our own.
Jade Williams
Cross Trained Nurse/CSR
Jade has lived in Mississippi her whole life and graduated from George County High School. She has been with SRAC since 2025. Some of her favorites are steak, seafood and country music. She is an avid hunter and loves hanging out with friends. She has 2 mini dachshunds, Willie and Annie and a lot of hunting dogs. The best part of VetMed is watching sick patients recover and go back to their families. She wishes every pet was on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.

Kennel
Lilly is our newest addition having just started in 2026. She is from Lucedale and has always loved animals. She likes spending time with her friends and siblings, riding horses and 4-wheelers and spaghetti. She loves learning new things about veterinary medicine. She has 1 cat named Kevin.
Cheyene
Cross Trained CSR/Technician
Cheyenne is a native of Lucedale who has been in the veterinary field since 2016. She joined SRAC in 2025. She has wanted to work with animals since she was 5. Her hobbies are spending time with family and horseback riding. She has a funny farm of a horse, dogs, cats, a ferret and a jumping spider. She loves SRAC because we have amazing doctors who combine knowledge and dedication to provide the best care. She is passionate about client education and the need for heartworm prevention.
